Increased submissions means increasing traffic?

I just signed up to sidetick social networking site, in hopes of promoting myself online even more. It strikes me that if I do not do this, no one else will, sdo I feel I have to push as hard as I can.  That does not mean that I fail to keep right on researching and submitting new content to the sites that feature my work, because the more there is to be seen, the more people, hopefully, will want to view it.  Still wanting comment from readers? Thanks.
